The Anger SanitAIzer is a comedy tool run by one person. It should still work for everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, or a magnifier. This page is an honest account of where things stand.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We are not claiming perfect conformance, because no one has independently audited this site and it would be easy to say and hard to prove. What we can say is that accessibility is something we actively check and fix, not an afterthought.
These are specific, and you can verify them yourself:
A few spots of small print, including this site's lightest grey text, sit below the WCAG AA contrast threshold in places. We are working through them. The generated share image is a picture, so its text is not readable by a screen reader; the same wording always appears as real text on the page above it, which is the accessible version.
Voice input (“Say it”) depends on your browser's own speech recognition and is not available in every browser. Typing always works, and nothing in the tool requires the microphone.
If something here does not work for you, we genuinely want to know, and we will fix it. Email jackmcnamara@duck.com and describe what happened and what you were using (browser, screen reader, device) if you can. You will get a reply from an actual person, and we aim to respond within a few days.
If you cannot use part of the site, you are also welcome to email us the message you wanted rewritten, and we will send the rewritten version back to you.
